I'm a minister in the New England area who cares very much about our fellow animals and hops that we can peacefully and healthfully co-exist always. We gain so much from our animal companions, and from the wild animals we share the earth with. It sounds like you agree with me and that it's important to pay back our debt to them by being responsible and committed companions back.
