Thank you for your kind comments. I found this information largely by reading my local newspapers, volunteering at my local animal shelter and following animal related news.

Dear Leland,
You're very generous. I'm delighted to learn that my words are helpful to all us animals, as that's why I write.
I'm nearly ready to post anew, so stay tuned, and many thanks.

Erwin, it's very gratifying to hear that my words have been helpful. I'm a minister in the New England area who cares very much about our fellow animals and hops that we can peacefully and healthfully co-exist always. We gain so much from our animal companions, and from the wild animals we share the earth with. It sounds like you agree with me and that it's important to pay back our debt to them by being responsible and committed companions back.

I was recommended this website by my cousin. I'm not sure whether this post is written by him as no one else know such detailed about my problem. You're incredible! Thanks!

And thank you, Olli. The issues around how we treat other beings are controversial, and I agree with you that being the default position of being kind - as well as thoughtful- is most compassionate. Thanks for reading!

Manissa, thanks for those details. Chickens, you are forewarned! And I meant to mention, if someone chooses not to adopt a rescue or shelter animal, you can STILL support the work through donations.

For the record, Sam is great with cats!! But not chickens, he likes to chase and eat those (at least he did in Belize) LOL

Thank you for this lovely post and sharing about the efforts still underway to help Sam's pals in Belize. (And if anyone wants a rescue dog from Belize, just let me know, easily arranged, easy to bring back to USA)
